About us

Fantastic Orange Tree, founded in 2007 by Pere Gifre and Daniel Molina, specializes in the production of animation series, advertising, documentaries and tv movies.

In its first year, some of our noteworthy projects included a 35-minute HD animated production for the opera “Journey to Simorgh”, directed by Frederic Amat, which premiered at the Teatro Real in Madrid. In addition we designed an animated cartoon series for TV called “Celebrity Day” (52 chapters of 13 minutes).

In 2008 we did a documentary about the “Splash” sculpture for the international exhibition “EXPO ZARAGOZA 2008″. We also designed another animated TV series called “3 CHEF” (52 chapters of 13 minutes), which was presented in the European MEDIA Stand at MIPCOM in Cannes.

In the same year the company established a collaborative agreement with Tons of Toons, to design and produce several animated series and commercials together. Clients include Lee Davis (Hong Kong), Spektaculär (Germany), Enefecto (SPAIN), Chupa Chups (SPAIN), Gray (UK), Das Werk (Germany), Nabisco, PepsiCo, 7UP and Chips Ahoy. In addition we participated in the production of the series “LMN’s”, which premiered in 2009.

In 2009 we undertook several documental projects, including a collaboration with Ferran Adrià and El Bulli, for the documentary “elBulli: Design & Technology”. The teaser of the project was presented by Ferran Adrià at MIPCOM 2009 in Cannes.
