Daniel Molina - Producer · Project manager ESPAÑOL · ENGLISH Summary IKONIC arts was founded in 2005 by Pere Gifre and Daniel Molina, with the emphasis being on the constant pursuit of new technologies, concepts and philosophies which allow us to discover new ways of design. I'm IKONIC project manager/producer. In 2007 for the "Real Theatre" in Madrid, we did the visuals "animatics" (35 minutes) for the opera "Journey to Simorgh", directed by Frederic Amat. Some of our noteworthy projects in the sculpture field include the Fishskin sculptures developed for the NY Aquarium, the “Splash” sculpture for "EXPO ZARAGOZA 2008", and recently with Ferran Adrià the design of the elBulli tableware collection. In addition, these and other projects have been published worldwide in publications such as NYTimes, The Guardian, Daily Telegraph, MoMA Magazine, Wired, Artfutura, RTve, and others. Co-founder at Fantastic Orange Tree Fantastic Orange Tree is an animation and film production company which specializes in the development of animated cartoon series and tv movies. Our mission is to create new characters, worlds and stories which will captivate audiences. Founded in 2009 by Pere Gifre and Daniel Molina, Fantastic Orange Tree has already created Celebrity Day, a series over 900 minutes long, and 3 CHEF which is currently id development. Fantastic Orange Tree has its own art team, headed by Daniel Molina and Pere Gifre, with the capacities to desing a complete series. Our Philosophy obligates us to design our production according to new media markets, making full use of the opportunities presented to us by new forms of technology and communication.
As IKONIC´s Project Manager, my main task is to develop, monitor and follow-up work plans for the implementation of projects. The financial management and contents audiovisual and interactive production are also among my duties. Normally I participate creatively in all projects we do. IKONIC ARTS is a technical-conceptual design studio which uses new technologies as the basis for investigation and development processes. Nature has been adapting its designs during the last 3,800 years, and attempting to imitate this process of evolution in order to find new design solutions is one of our principle objectives. The technology used for this process is called VFX Engineering, and its complex simulations allow us to recreate and bring to life any element and/or system.
